Our Executive Team:
Mark Waite - Managing Director
Mark is responsible for Development, Professional Services, Quality Assurance, R&D and IT. Mark studied Computer Science at the State University of New York (SUNY Morrisville) prior to becoming an IT Manager of an MGA in Virginia, a company which later purchased a PTS system. This prior position truly gave him a unique perspective when he decided to become a part of the Silvervine team in September of 2000. Since joining, he has served in various roles throughout the company, including developer, Project Manager, and Project Development Manager. Being a prior customer, Mark’s focus has always been customer-driven. His background has led him to believe in building strong and long-lasting relationships by helping clients to achieve their desired outcomes through successful delivery and trustworthy support. Mark is originally from Upstate New York, but he currently resides in Warner Robins, Georgia with his wife and three children.
John Baker - VP of Business Development
John is responsible for all aspects of developing and managing Silvervine’s sales and marketing plans. His responsibilities include executing an inbound marketing and lead generation platform; building Silvervine’s brand and product awareness in the P&C insurance industry through industry events and promotions; collaborating with industry professionals to identify new opportunities for growth; identifying and overcoming competitive threats; collaborating with insurance prospects and customers to close sales of new systems as well as upgrades to existing systems; writing proposals and negotiating contracts; and building the Silvervine Software sales team and capabilities to continue to meet the company’s growth objectives. John has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and technology sector. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Ambassador College. When John is not at work, he enjoys the Florida beaches with his wife and two sons.
Lyn McDonald - Finance Manager
Lyn plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the Finance & Administration Team. She offers financial advice and support to assist the management team in making sound decisions. Her responsibilities include ensuring that financial practices are in line with all statutory legislation and regulations, as well as confirming them with corporate policies and procedures, and overseeing the preparation of the company’s financial reports. Lyn also delivers budgetary planning for both the short and long term, provides financial analysis and reporting related to the company’s performance, as well as plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the Finance & Administration Team. Lyn received a Bachelor of Science in Business and Information Technology with an emphasis in Accounting from Macon State College and Master of Business Administration from Georgia College & State University. She holds the designations of Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Treasury Professional (CTP). Lyn lives in Perry, GA with her husband and two girls. She enjoys spending time with her children out at the ballfield.
Shurre' Hampton - Project Development Manager
With more than 15 years’ experience in software development, Shurre’ leads our team of designers, developers, quality analysts and engineers responsible for releasing innovative technologies benefitting the insurance marketplace. She works to make sure the development team is able to work as efficiently as possible, working directly with the PMs on project schedules, cost projections, and cash-flow forecasts. She makes sure each team member has clear goals and that nothing prevents them from doing their work. Since her start at Silvervine in 2007, Shurre’ worked as a lead developer and project manager before being chosen to lead project development for the company as a whole. Shurre’ has a B.S. in Information Technology, major in Computer Programming and minor in Web Design from Middle Georgia State University. She has lived all over the country as a military brat and now resides in Warner Robins, GA with her three children. She loves music, cars, and watching soccer.
Michael B. Crain - IT Manager
Michael leads Silvervine's team of IT professionals responsible for IT operations, code deployment and facility management. He directs policy, operations and sustainment of hardware and software services for the following capabilities: SSAE16 SOC1 and PCI certified collocated data center supporting hosted production clients; SSAE16 SOC1 certified data center supporting Silvervine project development and administrative functions; unmanaged rack space in a leased facility supporting our off-site backup storage and disaster recovery services; desktop systems; and network and system support for Silvervine’s non-hosted clients. Mike has completed a certificate program in Project Management and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems. He is a retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant and is actively involved in community outreach as a board member of Cherished Children, a program that helps underprivileged children. Mike is married and has one son.
Collin Leverette - Product and Compliance Manager
Collin has been with Silvervine for 15 years working in various capacities but chiefly in the role of financial and data collection. Working with our clients and the various financial officers puts Collin in a unique position to leverage his experience with helping Silvervine in building products and programs tailored to meet insurance industry challenges. Collin personally works with each department evaluating processes and documentation to ensure compliance will be achievable. He verifies that new products meet new business requirements and comply with necessary standards. His job relies on team collaboration as both employees and management use him as a communication resource to direct issues to the appropriate places for investigation and resolution. Collin is a veteran of the United States Navy and served in the Nuclear Engineering department for 15 years. Collin enjoys many hobbies including reading, music, and the Middle Ages living history movement. He has a special love of all things Ireland and Japan and hopes to visit those places someday. Collin lives with his wife and 3 children in Cochran, GA.
Our PMs take on the management of key client projects with the goal of delivering on time, within budget, and within scope. They maintain project schedules while enforcing quality and gathering/reporting metrics on production and financials. The PMs identify and manage project priorities while evaluating current processes to drive continuous improvements across their teams.
Kathryn Wetmore-Komlo - Project Manager
Kat started with Silvervine in 2007. She has held many positions in the company, working with both Operations and Product prior to transitioning to the role of Project Manager. Kat is married with two children and one grandson. In her free time, Kat enjoys spending time with her grandson and her three horses.
Nicole Scott - Project Manager
Nicole joined Silvervine in July of 2012 as a member of the Quality team before transitioning to Requirements. The potential shown in these areas allowed her to shine as a candidate for PM once a position became available. These previous roles have helped her to fully understand the scope of the clients’ needs from start to finish. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. She lives in Warner Robins with her fiancé and newborn daughter.
Mark Vickery - Project Manager
Mark has 26 years of insurance experience prior to joining Silvervine. He previously served as President of a large, multi-location, non-standard agency and went on to own an Allstate agency. His background helps him to better relate to our clients and intuitively address their needs. Mark is married with one daughter and two grandchildren.
Jaron Wilkins - Project Manager
Jaron started off as a developer at Silvervine in 2002, eventually becoming both a PM and the manager of Silvervine’s Atlanta office. Jaron has a Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University (now known as Kennesaw State University). He lives in Atlanta with his wife and son.
Leigh Martin - Project Manager
Leigh joined the team in 1997 as executive assistant to Gary Martin. Though she left for a time to focus on her family, she returned in 2010 as part of the Customer Care team before landing in her current role of Project Manager. Leigh focuses on working to identify pain points to make sure each PTS system provides maximum opportunity for business growth. Leigh currently resides in Omaha, NE with her husband, three children and three dogs. She holds a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Mercer University and is presently enrolled in the University of Nebraska at Omaha working toward a degree in Project Management. Leigh recently became a member of the Project Management Institute, PMI Heartland Chapter.
